omg the boxcar children!!!! i loooved those books as a kid, if i had read fic that young i definitely would have read fic for the boxcar children

I didn't even know that fanfiction was a thing until years later, but I would've read it as a little kid, too. Written by kids for kids? What better way to encourage reading and creativity? I imagine lots of self-inserts, going on grand adventures.
